Llandudno
Saturday 24th - Saturday 31st July 2004

Provisional Itinerary

Saturday 24th July

We will leave Bedfordshire in the morning and with stops for refreshments as appropriate, we will arrive in Llandudno in the middle of the afternoon.

Sunday 25th July

Today is free to settle in and explore Llandudno. The town has much to offer the holidaymaker. The very long promenade is wide and flat, with easy access to the beach. A trip up The Great Orme is a must. If you don’t have the energy to walk, you can catch a tram right to the top, to enjoy the finest views in North Wales. There are a number of museums to visit, and of course, an excellent shopping centre.

Monday 26th July

The first of our included excursions will be a day trip into Snowdonia. We will travel via Betws-y-Coed and Trawsfynydd to Dolgellau before making our way to the coast at Barmouth and Harlech and our return journey.

Tuesday 27th July

Free day.

Wednesday 28th July

Today we will visit a different part of Snowdonia as we travel via the coast road to Caernarfon where we will stop for a while. We continue our tour to Criccieth before returning via the spectacular scenery of some of the mountain passes.

Thursday 29th July

A half day jaunt along the coast to Rhyl.

Friday 30th July

Free day.

Saturday 31st July

We make our way home, and hope to be back in Bedfordshire in the late afternoon.

Our Hotel

The hotel for our stay is the family owned and run Ambassador Hotel

(2* AA/RAC), which is situated in an ideal place on the promenade close to the shops and pier. All bedrooms are en suite (bath or shower), and are equipped with colour TV and tea making facilities. There are two sun lounges, one facing the sea, where you can soak up the sunshine (no promises, but we’ll see what we can do!!). There is a well stocked bar, and two further comfortable lounges. A hearty Welsh breakfast is served, and there is a choice of menu for your evening meal. A lift serves many of the bedrooms.
